Sheryl - too true. Fortunately I have remarkable self-control. Though I did pick up several of my wished-for items in an after-Christmas sale at Pier One for 70% off. Not bad. :)
And I did decide to DIY the felt snowflake garland. I looked at it in store and realized that it was very simple to make. Felt shapes, an exacto knife and fabric glue are all you need.
Oh.my.goodness! And my MIL needs the pig!
