It's my blog and I'll do what I want to, do what I want to...(there's a song in there somewhere).
Several years ago, I discovered that people were making fonts out of their own handwriting to speed up scrapbooking. Brilliant, I thought. Simply brilliant.
That was about as far as things went. So, as is typical for me, I put it on my 101 list to make sure I'd transition from "brilliant" to "done."
So the other weekend when I had a rare bit of down time (intentionally created, I might add, to give myself some margin for personal creativity), I set about to figuring out how to create my own font.
The good Google led me to MyScriptFont.com, a free service. I simply followed the instructions.
First, I downloaded the template sheet:
I filled out the template, scanned it and uploaded it to the site.
Moments later, the site returned with a true type font (ttf) file that was created using my own handwriting.
It's AWESOME!!!
Why is it that I have to make myself do things that I know will be fun and interesting?
