Honey of Recipe: Salad Dressing

Yesterday I mentioned that I experimented with pecan creamed honey that our beekeeper sent us a few weeks ago.


My first experiment was a simple salad dressing.


Paired with marinated and grilled beef short ribs, it made for a simple but elegant meal.


Pecan Honey Dressing
  • 2 T creamed pecan honey
  • 1/3 c olive oil
  • 1/2 T cracked black pepper
Over low heat, gently warm olive oil and honey until smooth and liquid. While warming, prepare salad with arugula or spring greens, fresh shaved Parmesan cheese and chopped toasted pecans. Remove mixture from heat, add pepper, and pour over salad. Toss to coat thoroughly.
