We've started moving.
Anything easily carried is making its way to the new Hayley Home. Closets are empty, the patio is bare. Books are in boxes, DVDs are on new shelves and...
...the kitties are freaking out.
Ben and Bridget know things are changing and if there's one thing that's constant, it's that Kitties Don't Like Change.
We've tried telling them that they'll love the new house. Last night I told Bridget that I saw two bunnies in the back yard this weekend. Ben's been reassured that we're taking the snacks with us.
They don't care. They don't like it, not one bit.
Bridget's crying and asking for lots of reassurance. Ben keeps attacking Bridget, taking out his anxieties on her, I suppose.
I actually found myself saying:

If you two don't stop fighting,
I'm going to give you both a beating.
Why do I get the feeling that God wants us to master parenting kitties before He trusts us with a real live human?
Poor tired baby! It's been a long day.
Pathetic, I say. Major puling.
ReplyDeleteMajor puling by whom? Us or the kitties?
