The routine is pretty basic:
- Go to work
- Work like crazy
- Work through lunch
- Keep working like crazy
- Run home
- Try to figure out what's for dinner as no one's had time to grocery shop for weeks
- Pack boxes full of odds and ends
- Trek over to the Hayley House to deliver the boxes
- Unpack and clean (and clean and clean)
Our schedule has full-blown activity from 5 am to 10 pm. And I'm wearing down. And we're not done yet.
The current place looks half-empty. Coincidentally, the new place looks half-empty as well. We're learning just how little we own after our lives of sell-move overseas-sell-move overseas.
Now it's 5:30 on a Saturday morning and I'm typing this overdue blog while trying to summon the energy to drink a much-needed cup of coffee. I needed to sleep longer, but all I dreamed about was moving and home renovation.
May 16th can't come quickly enough!
Maybe you think of the new Hayley house as half-full rather than half-empty :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there! It will settle down and get easier. Take it a day at a time and know that this too shall pass - and you'll be in a better place afterward.

ReplyDeleteIt certainly can't!
The house is well on its way to being half-full, for certain! And more so, now that Kelly's home for the day after his office building's roof blew off during the weekend's storms. Whew!
ReplyDeleteWe are READY!
