We say that, you see, way too often in our house. Other favorite phrases are:
- No!
- Stop that!
- Ssst!
- Quit!
- Be nice!
- Do you want to die?
Or, as Kelly often notes:
Truer words have never been said. We’re working on some near-impossible discipline issues these days. You can teach a cat what not to do while you’re in the room. After you’re gone, all bets are off.
1. Counters aren’t for kitties. Meme pushes Bridget off the counter every time she comes to visit. Fat lot of good that does.
2. There are places kitties shouldn’t go. We don’t want to find kitties in bizarre locations (even though I confess it makes me laugh!).
Cats are too independent for me. Have you tried a Scat Pad?
ReplyDeleteNot yet. Our current strategy is clear packing tape on the stairs to make it an unpleasant place to scratch.
ReplyDeleteObviously, however, I'm going to have to cover each stair tread because he keeps moving up a stair when I tape one up. Naughty!
