On the way home from church, I mentioned to The Boy that he's really been different of late.
Different? he asked. Different how?
I don't know. I said. I guess, more confident, more self-assured.
It's like I used to be the wife who sometimes "spoke too much for her husband," but now I'm the wife who is enjoying sitting quietly and listening as her husband talks with others.
**Pause**
Hmmm. he said. How do you know that wasn't my plan all along?
