How's That Again?

I love The Boy.

He takes care of our finances. He's developing a spreadsheet to make my work life easier. He tells me jokes. He orders out on his night to cook. And he listens to NPR podcasts with me. You've got to love that, right?

We were listening to The Splendid Table last week while driving home from work. {The Splendid Table bills itself as "the show for people who love to eat." That's definitely us!!}

The show's special guest was a noted Thai chef, who discussed the concept of planning meals to suit the season and the guest. The chef explained that every person is primarily one of four elements:

• Water
• Air
• Fire
• Earth

It's Eastern philosophy, of course, but there is truth to people preferring different types and styles of food preparation (savory, tart, sweet, bland, etc).

The chef had just finished listing the four elements when The Boy said:

I think my element is gas.
