This is What Happens

Lessons from family holiday gatherings:

1. Don't allow yourself to get flustered when cooking because of all of the extra people helping in the kitchen.

2. Don't use the wrong tool for the job (such as, say, a blender instead of a food processor).

3. Don't use your favorite wooden stirrer to loosen food stuck in the blender because they should have been mixed in the food processor.

4. Don't leave the blender running when you're using your favorite wooden stirrer to loosen food stuck in the blender.

5. Don't let your family see that you've destroyed your favorite wooden stirrer. They will mock you for quite some time.

6. Don't be surprised if you receive a new collection of wooden stirrers as Christmas presents.

  1. I'm glad you learned all that before you did any of them. Whew! ROTFLOL!

  2. Why, that's *always* been my approach to learning potentially lifetime blackmail-able lessons.

    *wink*
