Just a quick post today about another great hometown restaurant The Boy and I visited last week.
I've driven past this place several times over the past three months. The only thing memorable about the outside that caught my eye was its location: a former Quizno's that we ate at a decade ago.
So, you might say, it was nothing special. It doesn't even have a website. That obviously made it an excellent candidate to try.
The menu is simple, as you'd expect for a traditional taquiera. We stuck with tacos - I had beef, The Boy had marinated pork (which came with pineapple...yum).
We really loved the sampling of cilantro, onion, and fresh salsas that was served on the side.
Prices were extremely reasonable, service was great and the food was wonderful. Safe to say this is a place we'll be happy to stop at again!
Why the abundance of "dive expedition" posts? We've decided it's well-past time to explore the small family-owned restaurants in our town and neighboring suburbs.
