I'm not a big chocolate eater, but once a year Hershey's makes an amazing seasonal product: Dark Chocolate Mint Truffle Kisses.
They're so good that I hoarded some for this year. Just in case, you know.
With the holiday season in full swing, I decided to make a quick-and-easy treat (spotted here while trolling the internet for creative mint truffle recipes) requiring a handful of dark chocolate mint truffle kisses and pie crust.
Side note: Bridget is always good to supervise kitchen activities.
Place the unwrapped kissed on the rolled-out pie crust.
Using a butter knife, cut a large circle around each kiss.
Fold the edges in, forming a packet.
Place the pie-truffle packets on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Brush lightly with water.
Sprinkle on some sugar.
Bake in a 350F oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Delicious!!
