Rain, Rain, (Please Don't) Go Away

It rained a touch last week. It rained on Sunday. It rained on Monday. It POURED rain yesterday. It's been raining off and on today.

I love it!!!

We moved the ferns from the front of our home to the back patio where they can catch more of the fresh-falling water. They are quickly turning green and perky after weeks of surviving with a daily misting and dousing of tap water.

I have humidity-induced frizzy hair.  Bridget's spending a significant time hiding from thunder. The grass outside is green - in August. And temperatures are only in the upper 80s - in August!!! 

We had an absolute downpour just before I left for lunch. While the sun had come out by the time I headed to the parking garage, I noticed that the plants lining the breezeway are having a hard time coping with all of the rainwater.
