Several years ago, my Baby Sister gave me a dozen carafes as a Christmas gift. She knows how I love to entertain. These have certainly come in handy:
The only problem is using them outside of a party situation. I don't like to leave things uncovered in the refrigerator. And it's a pain to put a piece of cling wrap on top, then take it off, then uncrinkle it and put it on, and so on.
So I investigated and learned that the manufacturer of my carafes, Anchor Hocking, sells the carafes with plastic lids. Great! thought I. If they sell them with lids, they surely will sell the lids.
I promptly emailed customer service to ask how I could order a dozen lids and was told:
Sorry. Lids are only sold with carafes.
I was bummed. But then I read the rest of the email:
However, if you'll send us the UPC code from your carafes, we'll happily send you some lids.
Wowza!! You can bet I promptly emailed the UPC code to Anchor Hocking.
Sure enough, over the weekend I received a package filled with these:
I'm so excited!! Now I can use my carafes all the time - like when I have leftover decaf coffee:
Is this Great Customer Service, or what?!? Thank you (thank you, thank you, thank you!) Anchor Hocking!
