Let's just be honest: Some days are not exciting.
Some days you answer a million emails at work, fax stacks of paper to a contact because her email system is down, sit in two meetings too many and get home late from work.
Some days you pull an insta-dinner out of the freezer (hey - at least it's not eating out!) and toss a quick salad for supper.
Some days you sit on the couch only to be sat upon by two cats until they are displaced by a husband's leg needing rubbed.
Some days you catch up on episodes of a favorite TV show, ignore Facebook and decide to go to bed early, knowing the next day will likely be just as busy.
And I think that's ok.
Interesting that this post immediately follows the one where you say, and I quote "I was serious last weekend when I promised The Boy that the end of the holiday season meant a return to proper cooking by his wife." Just saying. *laugh*
ReplyDelete"Best laid plans of mice and men"....
ReplyDeleteAt least it wasn't purchased from a restaurant. And I made a fresh garden salad, not even from a bag-o-salad.
ReplyDeleteSurely I get some credit for those efforts?
