Why Workaholics Have a Hard Time Taking Vacation

It's because you need a vacation day before you go on vacation and you usually need a vacation day after you get back.

We're leaving tomorrow for the Hayley family farm in Tyler and I can say that I am frazzled after my one and only day this week in the office. It's the usual:

• If it could break, it did.
• If there was a last-minute deadline, it was today.
• If there had to be a meeting, it occurred.

So now it's getting late for this early bird and I'm exhausted. Just thinking about renewing my driver's license tomorrow morning (at the license bureau for the first time in 8 years, horror upon horrors!) before we can leave town, plus packing and getting the kitties ready for the pet nanny makes me feel a little crazy.
